Touching Lives With Seguin RCA

By Anna Cox

The world is not fair. It is one of the many talking points that a cynic will repeat over and over again. That the world is not fair nor has it ever been. Good people are struck down every day while trying to help others, while bad people are allowed to prosper while unfairly subjugating others. It can almost seem like the world is trying to punish a good person for not being a dick to their fellow man. But its not just actions that make the world unfair. Sometimes, people are just born with an inherent disadvantage that will make it hard for them to function in normal society. But there are those who will try to help regardless of the universe wanting to screw over those who are altruistic, those like Seguin RCA.

Parents love their children. They are biologically driven to do so. In the old days, children who were developmentally disabled were prohibited from attending a regular school, as they were unable to pass an IQ test. So the parents of some of these children decided that they would start their own school, pooling together their resources to pay teachers and secure classroom space. Thus, the organization was born.

Their mission is to help. Some people stumble. Others are born with weights holding them down. Now, the organization wants to give those people some assistance. They seek to help persons with disabilities and their families.

They have many ways to render that assistance, to extent that helping hand. They have an art program. They also previously had a life plan.

People get left behind. But that may not necessarily be their fault. Sometimes, life just deals them a bad hand. But some people want to give those unlucky individuals an extra card so that they can better play against a deck stacked against them.

A scholarship is money set aside for education. This can be very helpful when someone pursues higher education, as that can be quite costly. As such, a scholarship can be quite the boon to a student. Those with developmental disabilities are going to have a harder time than most, as scholarships are already very competitive. When stacked up against overachievers, a special person has virtually no chance at winning one. But the organization offers some of its own.

The camp grounds are located a distance from the city. It is around ten acres large. It is also available to be rented from the first of September to the first of May.

Summer camps are programs in which kids will live for a few weeks away from home. These camps will generally include educational content about nature. There will also be activities like arts and crafts. The organization operates one of its own for nine weeks every summer.

Rising above is an opportunity that no one everyone is afforded. But everyone deserves the chance to do so. Sometimes, those chances are given.
