Price. This is the most important factor when going into a destination. Saving a few cash on hand might seem a rational decision. But choosing a cheapest establishment or options may not be a good investment. Just because the price is cheap and affordable, does not mean a good service. Clients may think that a high price is irrational and outrageous.

A good captain is prepared to make a sudden change. They know where the fishes are located in any given day. The weather may not be similar as yesterday, migratory patterns may be affected by different factors but a skilled guide can still devise a strategy to accommodate any changes that might happen.

Fuel. Chartering a vessel and going to open sea will require fuel. Individuals will have to consider the size of the vessel, the engine and the oil prices before judging a charter that is asking for a high price. Customers will have to take into account the distance to their locations and the right hot spots for fishing. Suffice to say, captains will ask a good amount of money to cover for their own expenses.

Take a raincheck on the weather during the time of your departure. In most cases, captains will never let down their clients even if the waves and winds will require them to stop. This is mostly because they have high tolerance on rough seas and have manage it over the years or their life depends on their livelihood.

If the captain has the knowledge and skills to provide excitement and knowledge to the customers, then they should share it. Clients will get bored right away if nothing is working with their lines. However, if the crew and captain is willing to communicate and socialize with the clients, then the experience will become more exciting and memorable.

Safety first. When acquiring a charter service, lives are on line as well. Clients will risk their lives and their companions when they go out to sea. They are putting their lives on the control of strangers. Bad things are common when at sea like dramatic and sudden changes in the weather, man overboard and collisions with other vessels.

Safety should be the most important priority. Make sure that the captain and the crew prioritize the safety of clients first. Fishing is not just a game and taking precautions is the first step of survival.
